The Equipo de Rescate del Estado Mérida hitchhiked to La Guaira to save lives. They're working 12-hour days with no shelter, no rest, no basic gear. We're changing that — transparently, directly, now.

What Happened

Two Earthquakes.
One Community on the Move.

On June 24, 2026, two powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela. The region of La Guaira was devastated — homes destroyed, families lost, thousands of people with nowhere to sleep and nothing to eat.

The Venezuelan diaspora responded immediately with love and generosity. But love without coordination leaves gaps. Rescue teams from Mérida — trained professionals — made their way to La Guaira however they could. Hitchhiking on trucks. Getting there by any means necessary. And arriving with almost nothing.

My brother Cristóbal is on the ground in Venezuela. Together, we are organizing direct, verifiable support for the Equipo de Rescate del Estado Mérida. Not through an organization. Directly to the team.
